Anxiety Eraser

Hello, Dr. Nancy here!  I am a board-certified pediatrician who has been in private practice for the past 15 years.  In Full Bloom, MD has been a dream of mine and Dr. Quin’s for over a decade.  It is really cool to watch this dream become a reality!

Moms and daughters start squirming and their eyes start darting around the room when I ask if they have discussed puberty at home.  Why is it so difficult to discuss a normal part of growing up for your daughter? 

There are so many reasons!  For one, moms bring their personal experiences to the conversation.  While this can be helpful, it is so much easier for an unbiased medical professional to discuss the facts of life in a matter of fact way.  Dr. Quin and I can have this conversation compassionately without being overly emotional. 

Another reason is that this topic is not well-understood by many adults.  Sure, you know the basics; but we are experts in the field.  We know the answers to the difficult questions, and we know how to answer them so that pre-teens and teenagers understand the answer. 

The number one reason, however, is that you do not have this conversation but a handful of times in your life.  As physicians, we have this conversation almost every day!  We have pretty much perfected the way to present the material, and we can give that knowledge to you or your daughter (or both!)  in less than an hour.  

Let us erase the anxiety!  We have done the hard work!  Let us make your life easier!  Your tween can feel confident in her own skin thanks to you…with our help.  We want every girl to know that puberty is normal and all healthy bodies experience it.  Create the safe space that she needs to bloom!
