Rain

In our neck of the woods, we have gotten SO MUCH RAIN in the past 2 weeks.

Our business is built around the analogy of girls as flowers.  Flowers cannot bloom without the rain.  They need the rain to truly thrive.  We can water our plants, but unless they have a few storms here and there, they don’t truly bloom to their fullest potential.

Our daughters also need to feel the rain and weather the storms of life.  The things that seem unpleasant, challenging, and even downright miserable are the VERY things that help us thrive and bloom the brightest.

As parents, our instinct is to protect and shelter our girls from everything we can; but a flower with an umbrella over it will not bloom. It will wither away.

You have given her days full of bright sunshine and gentle breezes.  You have taught her how to weather the storms. Let her stumble. Let her have an epic fail. It is the ONLY way she will learn her own strength and fully bloom.
